Silver Surfers Project Information

Warwickshire's Silver Surfers Project

The Project currently supports 35 weekly drop-ins across Coventry and Warwickshire, with more than 700 attendances every month. The drop-ins are run by 72 Volunteers.

About the Silver Surfers Web-site

New areas of information are being added regularly to the web-site. If there is information that we have not covered, but which you think would be of real interest to older people, then please let us know by clicking email.

The site is designed to be easy to use on computers and on the TV. We have provided many links to other websites; some of these sites may not be as easy to use as this one. If you have difficulty, for whatever reason, in accessing any of the linked web-sites, please let us know by clicking email.

Project Aims

The Silver Surfers Project is about:

• Promoting independent living for older people by providing access to services through the Internet.
• Using information technology to provide easy access to information about services and facilities for older people.
• Helping older people communicate with each other, with relatives and with local community organisations, by using information technology.
