Silver Surfers Project Changes

Unfortunately, due to funding, the Silver Surfers Project will cease on the 31st March 2011. After this date, the web site, helpline and training for sheltered schemes will end, but most of the Drop-ins will continue with our volunteers, as Age UK Warwickshire will take on the responsibility for these.

As from 1st April, the contact number to ring if you would like information about the Drop-ins is 01788 552545.

Dee Waugh (Project Officer) would like to thank the volunteers and everyone who has supported the Project over the years.

Changing times for Warwickshire Library & Information Service

Warwickshire County Council will have to reduce its budget by up to £60 million across all of its services. This will mean difficult decisions across services including the Libraries and Information Service. For more details on this click Libraries.

Free e-books from Warwickshire Libraries

Warwickshire's Libraries have introduced a free 12 month e-books trial. Hundreds of books can be downloaded for 3 week periods. The books can be used on PCs, laptops and most hand held readers. For more information click Warwickshire e-books.

WIFI at Warwickshire Libraries

All Warwickshire Libraries now have free WIFI internet access available for customers. You can connect using your own laptop. For more information click Library WIFI.

Digital Switchover - Don't be Conned

Coventry and Warwickshire residents will be switched to Digital TV during 2011. There is a danger of door-to-door salespeople conning people into buying equipment that they do not need for the switchover. For more information click Digital Switchover.
